What is SPL?
SPL (Sport Parkour League) is the creation of Origins Parkour’s owner René Scavington and senior coach Tom Coppola. They started organizing a North American Championship 12 years ago, and SPL4 is the 4th undisputed Parkour World Championship.
The best parkour athletes in the world will be coming to Vancouver to compete. Not only that — we close the gym for several days before the event to turn it into an arena with staged seating, concessions, and big screen projectors.
SPL4 is a 3-day event, August 22nd to 24th. Each day, athletes compete in 3 exciting categories: Skill, Speed, and Style.
SKILL: Athletes attempt to complete challenges like massive gap jumps, technical swings off bars, and precise landings.
SPEED: Athletes navigate thrilling speed courses where the fastest time wins.
STYLE: Athletes perform their toughest tricks to be scored by a panel of expert judges.
SPL is an exclusive event with limited seating, filled with fans from all around the world. Due to high demand, tickets are only available as 3-day packages, but this year we’ve done something special just for our members. Origins has reserved an entire row of seats that you can purchase as single-day tickets. So if committing to a whole weekend is too much, you can still catch some amazing action by attending any one of the 3 days of competition. Act fast! We are only holding these single-day tickets for members until July 18th!
Friday, August 22nd – 5:00pm (Doors at 4:00pm)
The wild preliminary day kicks off with the community round of Skill, where athletes hit the course at the same time to race to complete challenges. Then we brace ourselves for the Speed course runners. The day ends with the Style combo round, where athletes showcase 3 of their best trick combos.
Saturday, August 23rd – 3:00pm (Doors at 2:00pm)
We come back for the semifinals, and the stakes get higher in Skill, where athletes compete on the world stage by themselves. The Speed semifinals are as dynamic as day one but feature a longer course. Our Style competitors will be tasked with composing a seamless line of their best moves.
Sunday, August 24th – 3:00pm (Doors at 2:00pm)
Only the top 5 competitors in each category make it to the finals. Skill competitors take turns on 3 groundbreaking challenges. Our Speed competitors have their toughest and longest course yet, but in the finals, they get two attempts to try for their fastest time. The Big Trick finale of Style is where we see athletes attempt numerous never-before-seen tricks and “world’s firsts!”
